Gum sculpting treatment times can vary based on the extent of the contouring and re-sculpting needed, generally it takes between 1-2 hours.
Will gum sculpting hurt?
The treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic so you won’t feel any pain during the procedure. After the treatment you may experience some discomfort and tenderness but this will depend on the level of treatment you receive. The dentist will provide you with detailed advice on how to manage any discomfort after the procedure is complete.
