How Long Does Cosmetic Bonding Take?
Cosmetic bonding can take between 30 – 60 minutes per tooth depending on the complexity of the individual case. The beauty of cosmetic bonding is that most treatments can be completed in a single sitting.
Is Cosmetic Bonding Painful?
Cosmetic bonding is not painful and if the treatment is just repairing of cracks or chipped teeth then anaesthesia is not required. If cosmetic bonding is being used to fill a deep cavity, then anaesthesia is used to prevent discomfort.
How Quickly Will I Recover From The Procedure? Do I Need To Book Time Off Work?
Cosmetic bonding is a fairly simple procedure, there’s no time required after this procedure.
How Long After Cosmetic Bonding Can I Eat Or Drink?
As it is a minimally invasive treatment there is no need for downtime post treatment, you can continue to eat and drink as normal. Please keep in mind the composite resin is not as strong as your natural teeth, so you could still suffer from chips or cracks from eating very hard food or chewing on pens or pencils. The composite resin is also not stain resistant much like your natural tooth enamel. Drinking large amounts of tea/coffee, red wine and smoking can cause discolouration over a period of time.
